A message from our Pastor

Welcome to Springhead United Methodist Church’s web site!

We are “The church at the crossroads of the community.”    Our minds, our hearts and our doors are open to everyone.

When you arrive at Springhead you will notice the presence of God in our fellowship and in our worship gatherings.  No matter the reason for meeting,  you will find joyful fellowship, teachings and worship.  We’re told by many that the warmth felt at our church touches the heart.

You will also find that  you are surrounded by people just like you – people that are filled with hopes and fears, joys and sorrows, strengths and weaknesses.  The common thread that runs through us is that we all are committed to growing stronger and wiser through it all.
Inside and outside of these walls we are working on becoming the church we believe Jesus wants us to be.

Our mission is simple: It is taken from Mathew 28:19. “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. That's it.  We just want to share the joy we have found with the whole world.

Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of love and acceptance, where people can grow spiritually through vibrant worship, honest friendships, a caring fellowship, constant prayer and compassionate concern for the world.

So whether you are a spiritual seeker just beginning your walk toward God, or a committed believer continuing your walk with Him, you can find a home at Springhead United Methodist Church.

Please join us as we commit our lives in prayer, lift our hearts in worship and extend our hands to serve in His name.
God Bless You and we look forward to meeting you!

IHS,
Pastor Patrick C. Elmore

  1. Beginning around 960 B.C., King Solomon built the Temple at Jerusalem. The most detailed description comes from 1 Kings; it tells us that the main building was about 90 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 45 feet high; supported by huge bronze columns shimmering in gold. Yet no fragment of this temple has ever been found.

We worship faithfully, and we have for many generations. But we must be careful to store our faith in a 'house not made by hand'. Jesus said, "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Remember that we worship Christ the King, and He is portable. We can take Him everywhere we go!(Matthew 6:19)
